Refining for Greatness!

Potter’s Touch School is committed to raising confident, disciplined, and academically sound students grounded in strong moral values

Who We Are

At Potter’s Touch School, we believe every child is a masterpiece in progress — full of potential, creativity, and purpose.

Brief History

Potter’s Touch High School (PTHS), established in 2015, is a distinguished day and boarding co-educational secondary school located in Yenagoa, the capital city of Bayelsa State, Nigeria. Since its inception, the school has carved a solid reputation as an institution committed to excellence, character formation, innovation, and world-class education. Guided by the motto “Refining for Greatness,” PTHS goes beyond traditional academics by nurturing leaders equipped with competence, creativity, character, and global relevance.

At the heart of Potter’s Touch High School is a clear and future-focused educational vision: to develop responsible, productive, and lifelong learners capable of thriving in an ever-changing world. Our commitment to modern learning approaches ensures that students gain both strong academic foundations and the essential life skills needed to succeed in universities, careers, and diverse global environments.

We believe that every child possesses unique abilities and untapped potential. This belief drives our child-centred approach, where the intellectual, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of learners are carefully supported. This holistic philosophy shapes our teaching methods, mentoring systems, community service initiatives, and the overall culture of care that defines PTHS.

Our campus sits on a serene and secure expanse carefully designed to be a “home away from home” for students from diverse cultural, socio-economic, and religious backgrounds. The environment promotes peace, safety, and belonging—qualities essential for meaningful and effective learning.

EDUCATIONAL EXCELLENCE WITH ACADEMIC INTEGRITY

Potter’s Touch High School is also a proud British Council Partner School and a recognised Cambridge International School in Nigeria. These affiliations reflect our commitment to world-class standards and global best practices. Our reputation for integrity, discipline, and innovation has made PTHS a trusted choice for parents seeking an institution capable of preparing their children for success both locally and internationally.

In 2023, the Centre for Ethics and Self Value Orientation (CESVO), after an independent assessment of reputable schools across Nigeria, ranked PTHS 1st in the South-South region and 5th nationally, listing the school among the Top 100 Highly Rated Ethically Responsible Private Schools in Nigeria (2022/2023)—a testament to our unwavering values and consistent performance.
